About DEREK
The author, Derek Guillen, is a longtime veteran of the travel industry, with over 30 years of experience promoting and selling cruises to the LGBTQ community. Mr. Guillen started PIED PIPER TRAVEL in 1990, which became a leader in the LBGTQ cruise travel industry. With an intense loyal following to this day, PIED PIPER is known and trusted as a beacon for the LGBTQ travel community. Mr. Guillen has been on over 500 cruises, including more than 90 cruises on the ships of the subject of his book, Celebrity Cruises. He recently retired from the cruise industry in December 2022 so that he may devote his time to writing his first book, Pirates of Miami!
